I'm a bit of a workaholic, but do enjoy my days off and cooking. We have two large dogs that love to hear the word "oops" when I'm cooking, because that means that I have dropped something on the floor.
My favorite things to cook
I love to make soups. I will spend a whole day off, preparing several different kinds, putting them in freezer containers so that we can take them to work for lunch. Also love making gourmet suppers. Not too crazy about baking though!
My favorite family cooking traditions
Roast beef and yorkshire pudding. As a child living in England my Mum always had a "joint of beef" in the oven on Sundays. I hated it then, but now it has become a tradition in our house. My husband calls me the "roast beef queen" lol
My cooking triumphs
Well, roast beef of course. Big puffy yorkshire puddings. Roast potoates.
Tenderloin steak with pepper sauce (got my pic in the local paper for that one)
My cooking tragedies
Toad in the hole. Hubby called it Slugs in the mud. My first time cooking it shortly after we were married. lol
