I never leave reviews, but for this I had to because I'm a terrible cook and this recipe turned out great! I used instant potatoes instead of making my own (the 6-7 cup recipe was not quite enough) but otherwise followed this recipe to the letter. My husband, bless his heart, is a great sport about my futile attempts to cook but does not give false compliments so when he said it was awesome, and then had a second big servings, I knew we had a winner. Thanks for the great "so easy even I can do it right" recipe!

This turned out very good - and that's saying something because I am not a great cook. I made it exactly as instructed - minus the almonds (none on hand). It is very moist, and made the whole house smell wonderful. I made it in the mini-loaf pans to give in Christmas baskets - baked for 35 minutes, turned out perfect. As a side note - my boyfriend said it was good but thought the orange flavor was too strong and took away from the traditional gingerbread flavor he was expecting.

These wings are great! I make the sauce first, and simmer the wings in the sauce, basting often for 10-15 minutes, remove from heat, and let sit while coals heat. Because of the high butter content, the sauce will burn when it drips down on the coals, so allow the sauce to drain off the wings as much as possible, and have a spray bottle handy before placing wings on the grill. I baste lightly with the sauce while they are cooking, careful not to let it drip on the coals. The real "Louisiana Hot Sauce" works best, I tried several others .
