About this Cook
My favorite things to cook
I love to entertain so I love finding new recipes and cooking new and wonderful things for my family and friends. Easy and flavorful are crucial since I get involved in entertaining as an eating experience versus just sitting down to munch!

Fabulous French Loaves
Ok, I'm a believer! I have never made bread before-but due to insomnia have been using the creative outlet of cooking help ease stress (believe it or not)--I have "always" wanted to try to make bread--this bread was so easy to make AND delicious! It even looks like I'd made it before! My family was thrilled. I served it sliced with butter with a homemade lasagna dinner and salad. I followed the directions with no issues or problems and it came out perfect--1st try! these loaves served my family of 6 with enough leftover to make papa a couple french bread sandwiches for lunch to work the next day!! YUM!! thanks Liz--This rocks! It is a KEEPER! Madeleine

Grandma's Corn Chowder
Awesome corn chowder! I made a couple changes, but it is so delicious! I substituted 2 cups low-sodium chicken broth for water and 2 cups evaporated milk for half-and half and added 2 tsp ground thyme....Fabulous! Thanks!

Bacon and Tomato Cups
Awesome recipe! I use a drained can of small diced tomatoes and omit the onion, the recipe is very flavorful. I also use Grands flaked biscuit and cut into quarters. Make sure you roll each quarter into a little ball then press well into the mini muffin tin, otherwise the topping rolls off when baking. They are filling and delicious! I have made many times now and have given recipe out at least 1/2 a dozen times. Makes me look like a chef! They are yummy and quick! Even my kids (ages 4-14) ask for them (and hubby too!) thanks--a KEEPer in my recipe book!
