Cream Cheese Squares

Reviewed: Nov. 4, 2009
I thought these were pretty good! I made this dessert for a family dinner. Based on the great reviews I thought they would be AMAZING, but they were just Great instead!! The cream cheese seemed a little thicker than I like. I will make these again though!! Next time I think I will actually use less cream cheese/sugar and less butter then what was called for to make them less fattening.

Quick Chicken Divan

Reviewed: Aug. 4, 2009
This was pretty good but like many of the reviews said, it would have been better if I'd have added some bread crumbs to the top. It was to creamy without. I used fresh broccoli and was worried that I hadn't precooked them but they turned out great!! I will use this again adding bread crumbs next time!!

Best Peanut Butter Cookies Ever

Reviewed: Apr. 30, 2009
This is a great peanut Butter cookie recipe. I did take the advice of another review and used 1/2 cup less of the sugar. I also put a dove chocolate in the center of each cookie and of course this is what made the cookie even more Fantastic!!! I will use this again!!

Tangy Poppy Seed Fruit Salad

I tested this out to see if I wanted to make it for a church gathering. It's perfect! I'm planning on using the canned mandrine oranges just for decorative purposes. My husband loves it and wants me to make it again for him!!

Cookie Balls

Reviewed: Feb. 22, 2009
These were a hit! They are very rich! I used melted white chocolate to coat the outside. I think I would like to try the almond bark though next time. I made the cookie mixture and then let it sit in the fridge to get firmer. Then I rolled them into little balls and put in the freezer for about 15 min so they'd not fall apart when dipping in chocolate. Great recipe!!

Eggnog Quick Bread

Reviewed: Dec. 19, 2008
I made this in mini loaves to give to my neighbors. We loved it!! I didn't have any rum extract so I didn't add that. I put in the 5 Tbl of oil like the reviews said and added 1 tsp cinnamon. The only thing was it seemed to be more dense then I'd of liked. I will try this recipe again!!

Orange Drop Cookies II

Reviewed: Dec. 19, 2008
After searching the website for a good orange cookie recipe I came across this one. They were fabulous. The only thing I did different was use butter instead of shortening and I added almost 1/4 cup more flour. I will definatly make these again!!

Award Winning Soft Chocolate Chip Cookies

Reviewed: May 11, 2008
I've been looking for a great cookie recipe and I'd have to say this one is towards the top of my list. I made this with the vanilla pudding mix (sugar free) with semi sweet and milk chocolate chips mixed. I loved them especially right out of the oven they were WONDERFUL. I also made them with the chocolate pudding mix (sugar free) and put peanut butter chips in those. I didn't love those as much, maybe because of the sugar free pudding, they tasted a little chalky, but others raved about them and wanted the recipe.

Slow Cooker Chicken Cordon Bleu

This recipe was easy and tasted great! I waited to put the cheese in until the end. I also used bread crumbs instead of the stuffing mix. It was good enough that I will make it again.

Cake Mixes from Scratch and Variations

Reviewed: Apr. 17, 2008
I literally just got done baking this fabulous cake and had to run down to give it the 5 stars it deserves. I'm the type that has to have lots of frosting but I haven't even frosted it yet and already we'd eaten half of it. I made the white cake version and added pink food coloring for my sister's baby shower. I made some changes, I didn't have shortening so I used 1/2 cup butter and added and extra 1/2 cups of milk because it looked to thick. I also reduced the temp to 325 and baked in two square pans for 25 mins. They turned out perfect. I will forever use this recipe and can't wait to try the pineapple upside down version. That's my husbands favorite.

Banana Cream Pie I

Reviewed: Apr. 16, 2008
I'm giving this pie 4 stars because It tasted great but didn't look great. The pie was too runny ( I took the advice and didn't bake it) also the banana's turned brown even though I had them all buried in the pudding. I couldn't keep my finger's out of the pudding, it was great!

Sandy's Chocolate Cake

Reviewed: Apr. 16, 2008
I thought this cake was going to be fantastic based on the ingredients and the reviews. I usually love sour cream but I think this was a little overboard. I probably wouldn't make this frosting again. It was too sour. Also I'm not sure what I did wrong but the cake fell a lot after it cooled and was frosted. If you like a lot of frosting and your making a double layer I would double the frosting.

Coconut Pecan Frosting II

Reviewed: Jan. 21, 2008
I made this recipe (twice actually) for my husbands birthday. He loves german choc. cake and I rarely make it. The first time I had already started the heat and mixed in the eggs a little to late. There was chunks of eggs whites through out. I had to dump it out and start fresh. I made sure to mix all ingredients together first and then started heating, stirring continually. This turned out amazing. I don't love this kind of frosting that much and found I couldn't keep my fingers out of the leftovers. I had doubled the recipe because I was making a double layer 9 inch cake. I had plenty of frosting. I will make this again!

Carrot Pineapple Cake I

Reviewed: Nov. 15, 2007
I made this cake for a family members birthday. Everyone loved it and in fact a friend asked for the recipe, made it and gave a piece to her Grandma. She then had to make an entire cake for her and her mother. I made a couple changes that were suggested, 1/2 Veg. oil and 1/2 applesauce, and I also used walnuts instead of pecans. The cake is really moist and the frosting is excellent. If you make a double layer like I did, and you love frosting, I would suggest doubling the frosting recipe.

Kitty Litter Cake

This was so fun to make and was a hit at our family Halloween party. I liked that this cake wasn't really rich, because with all the candy and treats at Halloween we didn't need a rich cake. I would make this again!

Banana Orange Bars

Reviewed: Dec. 5, 2006
I normally make banana bread with my ripe bananas. I wanted something different and ended up finding this yummy recipe. My daughter couldn't get enough of it as well as me and my husband. I ended up using 1/4 cup of butter and 1/2 cup of veg oil. Only because I was out of veg oil. It's a very cake like bar. We ate almost half of it before I got around to frosting it, but we loved the orange flavored frosting on it as well.

Banana Oat Bars

Reviewed: Nov. 14, 2006
I took the advice of some others and put 1 whole egg in instead of the 2 egg whites. I also added a 1/4 cup of flour. I used 2 med bananas and left out the raisins because I didn't have any. I put it in a 9x9 pan and cooked it for 30 min's. It turned out pretty good. Based on what others said of it being gooey or falling apart, it wasn't that at all. It turned out to be like a cake. I was expecting a gooey bar. I served it warm with some vanilla ice cream because I felt it needed something with it. If I try this recipe again I will leave out the flour.

Sour Cream Waffles

Reviewed: Nov. 8, 2006
Ever since I made this recipe it has now became the only waffle recipe I now use. I like the creaminess to the waffle. Normally we put sliced bananas and strawberries on the top with a little whip cream instead of syrup. It's a Sunday morning fave.

Sour Cream Chicken Quiche

Reviewed: Nov. 8, 2006
This was pretty good for not having had quiche in a very long time. I gave it a 4 because I'm not a huge fan of onions and this was to overpowering with onions. Next time I will leave them out. I did had family that went back for seconds.
