Heavenly Shortbread

Reviewed: Jan. 16, 2009
this recipe is awesome. Actually messed up, would have been great the way it is written, but I downsized the pan, and shouldnt have. They took way to long to bake then came out partially raw near the middle. So, I cut it and re-baked for 10 minutes at 325, kind of like biscotti, and it turned out FANTASTIC!!! The regular recipe is 5 star, double baked it is 10 star!

Pear Pie III

Reviewed: Oct. 31, 2008
This was suprisingly awesome, didnt expect it to be as good as it was. Had a bunch of pears to use up, company coming, and I needed dessert! This was a definite hit, the last piece was fought over, and eaten out of the pie plate. I did use the cinnamon on top, as someone else suggested.

Spinach and Leek White Bean Soup

Reviewed: Oct. 31, 2008
I loved this soup, the only change I made was to use swiss chard in place of the spinach, I added it at the same time as the couscous. Delish!

Quick and Easy Vegetable Soup

Reviewed: Apr. 5, 2006
great recipe, used 1TBSP of this creole seasoning blend: 2Tbsp onion powder, 2 Tbsp garlic powder, 2 Tbsp dried oregano, 2 Tbsp dried basil, 1 Tbsp dried thyme, 2 Tbsp fresh ground peppercorns (mixed), 1 Tbsp cayenne, 1 Tbsp celery seed, 5 Tbsp. paprika. Pulse all in food processor til well mixed or whisk together well. store in covered jar. Gave soup a lovely spicy flavour! Will definitly make it again! Oh, I also sauteed 2 medium onions right at the beginning, and then added everything to that. Yum!
