This brine worked like a charm. I used a fresh young turkey, Butterball brand and the meat was moist and tasty. We used an 18lb turkey and I lowered the salt to 3/4 cup, however 1 cup would have been just fine.

Daria's Slow Cooker Beef Stroganoff

Good dish for the crock pot. I made a few changes as did others and used stew meat which came out very tender and 8oz. of sour cream versus 16. I only had white wine on hand, but I agree that red wine should be added.

Wonderful Banana Cake

Good Cake. However, I can not give 5 stars for something where 3/4 of the recipe is from a box. I followed the additions given by others and added sour cream and used the box baking times.

Italian Meatball and Cheese Tortellini Soup

Very easy and tasted good. Couple of changes due to what I had on hand, I eliminated the beans, carrots and Kale and added a box of frozen spinach.

Fabulous Wet Burritos

Loved these! I went with a few changes based on other reviews, very minor stuff. Used the Rotel tomatoes in place of the tomato soup and put in the oven for a few minutes on 400 to melt the cheese before putting the lettuce and tomato on. Served with sour cream and Guac and this was a hit! Will make again for sure.

Fresh Pear Pie

Enjoying this pie right now. Followed the recipe using Bartlett pear's and a store bought crust. Very good. The pears give the pie a very nice flavor similar to the apple pie, but with that distinct sweet pear taste.

Swiss Chicken Casserole II

Quick, easy and just what the family needed on a casserole night. I made 2 small additions to this recipe by adding white wine to the soup/milk mixture and added broccoli around the chicken.

Eggplant Parmesan II

This recipe was ok. The fact that the dish is baked takes away from the overall taste. It may help with the fat factor but certainly not with the taste factor. I think baking is a good option, but I also think you need to add something to help give it a boost. Perhaps some of the other reviews have some suggestions on additional items that can help this dish.

Easy Batter Fruit Cobbler

Easy and delicious. I used a mix of peaches and strawberries. I read some of the reviews after I made this recipe and I think when I make this again, I might try adding the vanilla and cinnamon. Nice touch. Kids and hubby liked it too.

Sassy Sausage and Black Bean Soup

Loved it! I read the prior reviews and added a green pepper and an additional can of black beans. In addition, I made 1 other change, at the end of cooking, I used my stick blender and ran it through a few times to make it a little thicker. Great soup for a cold night.

Slow Cooker Salisbury Steak

Chocolate Decadence Yule Log

This recipe was excellent. A couple of additions I made, first, I added chocolate sauce on top of the cake prior to rolling and second instead of using the frosting inside of the cake, I put whipped heavy cream on top of the chocolate sauce and then rolled it and placed the frosting on top. Yummy!
