We first made these margaritas for our 4th of July cookout last year. This is the first thing that EVERYONE requested for this year's cookout. They are so fresh teasting and are the best strawberry margaritas I have every had. Be careful though; they go down sooo easy and before you know it, you're feeling extremelygood!!!! You really don't need 6 cups of ice, but I wouldn't change anything else!

I made a couple substitutions for health reasons and they still turned out fantastic! I didn't have wheat bran so I used wheat germ. I don't do dairy, so I substituted soy milk for the nonfat milk. I used Splenda brown sugar for the regular brown sugar and used 1/4 cup Eggbeaters egg substitute for the egg. They are so moist and juicy when you bite into them, and I can eat them without any guilt! When I tell people to try my non-fat, non-dairy, no sugar muffins, they say yuck, but end up loving them! They are my daily morning snack.

As someone who needs to watch my fat/cholestrol intake, I make a few changes. I substitute turkey bacon for the regular bacon, use fat free ranch dressing, and use low fat Lorraine swiss cheese. The avocado also helps with "good" cholestrol. I also substitute whole grain bread. Still delicious and healthy!!
