I am married and have two kids. I have always liked to cook, but since I was married, I have enjoyed it more and more. I love when our family sits down togther and enjoys the foods that I have made. I love to cook dinner dishes, like lasagna. And I love to bake desserts, like cakes. My grandmother taught me that you dont need a microwave oven or measuring spoons. Its all about the love (and memory) that you put in your dishes. Actually, anything is considered a triumph if everyone in my family will eat it and ask for seconds...that is truely a victory!! Ugh. I can not duplicate my grandmothers maravian sugar cake for anything. Hers was better than anything you could buy, and I have yet to come even near what hers was, and thats using her recipe!!!! Mine is always heavy, and never "right", unlike hers, which was always so incredibly fluffy and perfect.
