About this Cook
I am a speech pathologist and mother of 3.
My favorite things to cook
I love cooking gourmet meals. Luckily my husband doesn't mind being my guinea pig and he usually likes it all.
My favorite family cooking traditions
My dad was the family cook and he taught me to love cooking as well. I am passing it on to my daughter. She makes a mean meatloaf. As a child, I mostly baked desserts to impress my dad. Now that I have a family, I spend most of my time trying new meals to get my children to expand their horizons.
My cooking triumphs
I have really improved over the past few years. I like being able to make meals for friends and family.
My cooking tragedies
I can NOT cook a perfect grilled cheese. One side is always black and my oldest daughter asked, "Do you like them like that?" That's all she knows! :)

Bananas Foster II
YUM!! I used rum extract and water rather than rum (as blestmom4 explained) and it was fabulous. My husband loved it and I can't wait to make it again. So easy!

Asparagus Lasagna
This was very good. I used fresh asparagus as canned is a mushy, disgusting mess (to me.) I often use the sauce in this recipe for chicken dishes as well.

Garlic Cheddar Chicken
My children especially love this recipe! We have it quite often because it is easy and everyone loves it.
