About this Cook
I'm a sweet n' sassy Wife and Mother who LOVES to cook! I love trying new dishes and challenging myself to explore new culinary styles and exotic flavors. I love good ol' comfort food (I HEART MAC & CHEESE) but feel best when I make healthy choices for myself and my family. I recently discovered that I am lactose intolerant so I am bravely entering the world of dairy free delights.
My favorite things to cook
I will try any recipe once. BRING IT!
My favorite family cooking traditions
I love cooking together as a family on holidays when there are so many people in the kitchen, you can't even turn around. I just love having a house full of people!
My cooking triumphs
Creme Brulee. I was so nervous but they came out lovely! The torch was my favorite part. YAY FIRE! LOL
My cooking tragedies
My mom and I made Chile Rellenos for my Daddy's birthday one year....we fried all the cheese out by accident! WHOOPS.

A Different Carrot Raisin Salad
VERY GOOD but a word to the wise: Only chill a few hours as directed in the recipe! I made the mistake of preparing it the day before and chilling overnight. BIG MISTAKE. The flavors blended too much, the dish became bland and the color turned to an unappealing yellow. Definitely best made and served freshed. Still a great recipe and I will make again!

Slow Cooker Dump and Go Cheesy Chicken
Very yummy! Since I did not have a can of cheddar cheese soup, I used one can of cream of chicken and added some Velveeta chunks. I added rice to the crock before hand to make it a one dish recipe. Don't think I'll do that again since it came out a little too thick. But still delish!

Tacos in Pasta Shells
HOLY BUCKETS! This was amazing! My husband could not say enough about it. "Oh my gosh!" followed every bite he took. I used turkey rather than beef and lite cream cheese. Also reduced the amount of shredded cheese because 2 cups seemed like too much. A total keeper! THANKS GRANNY!
