I live in the mountains with my wife. We love to cook and eat! I enjoy doing things from scratch. Ice cream, breads, dressings, sausage, and I roast my own coffee.

Anything on the BBQ. I love stir fry and salads.
My favorite family cooking traditions
Swiss steak is a Rabon staple. Also lemon chicken.
My cooking triumphs
My wife has an Oscar Party every year. Last year, I did beef tenderloin with scallop potatos. A couple good salads and Banana Quesadillas for desert (an Emeril recipe). Yum!
My cooking tragedies
When my wife and I first started dating, I made a three pepper pasta that was too hot to eat. I have burned cookies too. High altitude cooking takes some getting used to.

Mocha Chocolate Cookies
These cookies are absolutely amazing. The photo someone submitted makes them seem lighter than they were for me. Mine were pretty dark due to the melted chocolate in the batter. HUGE hit with the people at work.

Pork Chops with Blue Cheese Gravy
I served this with asparagus and baked potatoes. Drank a 2000 Oregon (Erath) Piont Noir. Absolutely amazing! Will be making this again and again.
