Sweet and Spicy Green Beans

Reviewed: Nov. 4, 2009
This was amazing. And my husband ate all the sauce even that I made a double batch based on his request. The sauce was so delicious and would taste great with other veggies as well. The only change I made is use sesame oil. Made it with the Ginger Glazed Mahi and brown rice.... This one is a keeper. Quick update - I made this the first time with fresh green beans and the second time with frozen. The fresh ones were much better, so don't try to cut that extra step it's worth it. The frozen ones soaked up all the liquid and it made it way too salty. Both me and my husband agreed it wasn't as good. So fresh is the way to go

Irish Chicken and Dumplings

Reviewed: Oct. 22, 2009
These were the best Chicken and Dumplings I made so far. The only thing I changed is used chicken broth instead of water. It made more than 6 servings, but neither me nor my husband are complaining. We had leftovers for a few days and it was delicious. Would make again and again and again. Thanks for this wonderful recipe.

Aunt Millie's Broccoli Casserole

Reviewed: Oct. 18, 2009
Awesome Casserole. I steamed the broccoli instead of boiling it and used Cheddar Jack cheese instead of American. I also added a half cup of cooked rice. Seasoning I eye-measured myself, some people prefer more salt some less, so I always just go by what feels right for me. I loved the seasoned croutons. Will definitely make again. Thanks for sharing

Penne with Chicken and Asparagus

Reviewed: Apr. 29, 2009
Great base recipe. I used asparagus and mushrooms. I am not sure why this recipe asks for 5 tbsp of oil. I used pam. Just at the end I drizzled a little olive oil on the pasta, maybe 1 tsp. This recipe is very adaptable. I bet it tastes good with bell peppers or zucchini.

Campbell's® Tuna Noodle Casserole

Reviewed: Apr. 27, 2009
The base recipe is pretty good. It's needs a little twist. I tried it just as is, but I just couldn't get used to the peas. Next time I tried it I used broccoli. It did taste much better, but something is still missing. Maybe next time I will try it with one can cream of mushroom and one can cream of celery

Oven Roasted Red Potatoes and Asparagus

Reviewed: Mar. 16, 2009
I made this last night to go with my steak. I love potatoes and asparagus and this made a great combo. Since I halved the recipe I did use two tbs each of the thyme and rosemary, even that it smelled a little overpowering at first it turned out just perfect once cooked.

Sirloin Tips and Mushrooms

Reviewed: Mar. 7, 2009
I love this recipe. Made it a few times. Hubby loves it. Sometimes I add chopped onions to it or more tomato sauce or other things. But it's not necessary it turns out great if you just make it as is. Makes great lunch leftovers.

Slow-Cooker Chicken Tortilla Soup

Reviewed: Jan. 14, 2009
I must say I was very disappointed. I followed the recipe. It came out very bland. I had to add much more seasoning and still couldn't get it right. What a disappointment after smelling it for such a long time. It sure smelled better than it tasted.

Traditional Osso Buco

Great dish. Made as directed. The only thing I changed add a tsp of flour at the very end to thicken up the sauce a little. Wish I'd had some garlic bread. Will be making this again and again. Love it. Thanks

Shepherd's Pie VI

I love this recipe. The only thing that I altered was add a bag of frozen veggies instead of pureeing the carrots. And of course I added salt and pepper. That's a given. Make sure you try the beef before you trow it into the oven. I like lots of salt. It was great and my husband is looking forward to me making it again tonight.

Habanero Hellfire Chili

Reviewed: Oct. 11, 2008
Tonight is the second time I am making this. It is sooooo good. The first time I cut down on the peppers. I used 3 Habanero, 4 Jalapeno and 6 Anaheim. I also used less of the red pepper flakes. This time I am going all in. 6 Habaneros, 6 Jalapenos and 6 Anaheim. Can't wait for the results. Even that it was really good last time and spicy, I felt the next day it didn't have that much heat. It was still amazing, but not spicy, that's why I am trying it with all the peppers. Can't hardly wait. One more hour.

Old Fashioned Onion Rings

Reviewed: Jun. 23, 2008
This onion rings are awesome. I followed the suggestion of another reviewer and instead of frying them I baked them in the oven on 350 for like 30 minutes. I just sprayed a lot of pam on them. Also I didn't have baking powder so I just left it out and they were great without it. Can't wait to make them again. Was well worth the effort

Oven-Fried Catfish

I will make again. The only reason I gave this 4 stars is it was wayyyyyyy too salty. And I love salt. Next time I will batter it and then just season it on the cookie sheet to my liking. Tooo bad.

Tuna Caliente

Reviewed: Sep. 4, 2007
Just made this. It's excellent. I didn't follow the measurements for the celery, jalapenos and onion exactly. I added more onion. Love it. Less celery. Hate it, but you can hardly tell it's in there. Hubby loves celery. And less jalapenos. I used two jalapenos. Was too scared it would turn out to spicy. Either those jalapenos weren't hot or it just needs more. Overall turned out really great. Can't wait to eat it for lunch tomorrow.

Garden Pork Stir-Fry

This was yummy and easy. The only change I mad was use fresh garlic instead of garlic powder used only 2 cloves would use more next time and add some spicy garlic chili sauce to it due to personal preference. But that's it. It was delicious and I can't wait to make it again.

Made a few modifications. Was pretty good. Added some italian seasoning and used only cup of mozzarella and added some parmesan. Next time I will use fresh mushrooms, the canned ones just didn't do it for me. Will def make again
