Penne with Chicken and Asparagus
This was a super fast and simple recipe. The taste is very fresh, but slightly on the bland side. I served it with red pepper flakes which added a nice kick, but I think it could use a little more garlic, a little more cheese and a squeeze of lemon juice. It's healthy and yummy though. A keeper recipe!

Kyle's Favorite Beef Stew
Very good stew. I followed the directions to a T, except I used a little less onion and chopped it in smaller pieces. I also threw in a little chopped celery just so I could use it up. I didn't have any red wine so I used cooking sherry. The preliminary work (i.e. you don't just toss everything in the crockpot) is worth it. This stew has more flavor than my usual recipe, but I think it could use a little more, not sure what though. My husband LOVED it, said it was the best meal he's had all year. I found myself very thirsty afterwards, perhaps from all the onion soup mix?

Honey Wheat Sandwich Rolls
These were okay, but I've had better wheat rolls. I followed the recipe except I increased the wheat flour a bit and decreased the bread flour. I added a little more yeast to compensate. I also skipped the melted butter at the end since I was making these as dinner rolls and offered butter at the table. I found them a bit heavy and dense and the flavor was a little blah. A perfectly good roll, but nothing fantastic.
