About this Cook
I'm a 60 year old italian that enjoys good food and good company. I'm married & have 3 grandsons. I moved to Texas 35 years ago & have been per- fecting the art of bbq ribs & beef. I am also building a wood fired pizza oven to try to duplicate New Haven style pizza.
My favorite things to cook
I guess my favorite things are pizza & babyback ribs.
My favorite family cooking traditions
Eggplant parmesean that I learned how to cook by helping my Mom when I was growing up.
My cooking triumphs
Probably a cheescake made from scratch. This was my first attempt at cooking a cheesecake and it come out perfect.
My cooking tragedies
My worst cooking expierence was making chop suey and I did'nt have a recipe and I used way too much soy sauce. It was much too salty to eat and I had to throw it all out.

Easy Pasta Fagioli
FOLLOWED RECIPE EXACTLY & SHOULD HAVE DONE WHAT OTHERS SUGGESTED AND REVERSED AMOUNTS OF TOMATOE SAUCE & CHICKEN STOCK. TASTED LIKE EXTRA SALTY TOMATOE JUICE.

Lentil and Sausage Soup
THIS SOUP IS GREAT BUT NEXT TIME I WILL NOT ADD ANY SALT. CHICKEN BROTH IS SALTY ENOUGH. ALSO, ADDED 1 EXTRA TEASPOON OF GARLIC POWDER AND USED HOT ITALIAN SAUSAGE INSTEAD OF SWEET. GOES GREAT WITH A BIG HUNK OF CRUSTY ITALIAN BREAD.

Janet's Famous Banana Nut Bread
MADE THIS TODAY BUT ONLY USED 2 1/2 CUPS SUGAR, ADDED 1 TBLS VANILLA AND BAKED AT 325 FOR 1HR, 10MIN, CAME OUT GREAT. WILL MAKE AGAIN & AGAIN.
