About this Cook
I'm a teacher who loves to cook, plan and decorate for parties when I'm not too tired! Just my son and I at home now and he loves spicy food so I've just begun to try these types of recipes.
My favorite things to cook
appetizers...
My favorite family cooking traditions
My grandmother made the most fantastic soups and home-made bread. Not everyone in my family likes to cook so unfortunately, the recipes have been lost..if she even cooked with any.
My cooking triumphs
Once, while talking friends, I accidentally grabbed the removable center portion of my tube pan to remove the coffee cake from the oven. The whole thing went on the floor. According to my guests, I didn't miss a beat and had another one in the oven 10 minutes later.
My cooking tragedies
Too many to center out one.

Unbelievably Awesome Barbeque Chicken Pizza
Made this last night for friends....it is as good as others say. Wow! Carmelized the onions, added cooked bacon and red pepper as others suggested. As good or better as the high-end pizza places make.

Janet's Rich Banana Bread
These flew out of the kitchen. I doubled the recipe and made a loaf and a dozen muffins. They were gone in 24 hours.

Country White Bread
My 22 yr. old son, who rarely likes my cooking, raved about this bread. I'm making it again this morning. Didn't change anything except I probably needed a bit more flour than called for. It was still moist 2 days later.
