Easy Shake and Bake Chicken

Reviewed: Aug. 3, 2009
This was pretty darn good. I would have rated it 5 stars but I did have to add some things. I also added garlic and onion powder and doubled all other spices except for the salt. My family said that I definitely should make this again. Thanks!

Very, very good! I had ran out of the packaged kind and decided to try this recipe. I like the fact that their isn't any MSG in it. I will be using this recipe from now on. No more packaged taco seasoning for me!

Baked Garlic Parmesan Chicken

We absolutely enjoyed this recipe! My 23 year old son isn't very fond of chicken and normally asks if he can fix something else when I prepare chicken. He has enjoyed almost every chicken recipe I have made from this wonderful website....much to his surprise. I served this with some pasta and marinara sauce. OUT OF THIS WORLD GARLICKY GOODNESS!

Sirloin Steak with Garlic Butter

Reviewed: May 11, 2009
Let me start by saying that I do not usually eat steak. I normally don't like it at all. The men in my family love steak so I decided to cook this for them. I have to say, it smelled so good after I put the garlic butter on it, I had to try a piece. I am hooked! Very tasty! We ALL enjoyed it. Definitely a keeper!

Missy's Candied Walnut Gorgonzola Salad

This is an excellent salad. I used candied pecans instead of the walnuts. I added avocado and red onion to it as well. This salad is very addicting!

Elegant Lemon Pork Chop Bake

Reviewed: Apr. 7, 2009
I have looked at this recipe numerous times. I wasn't sure I would like it or not because of the vinegar. I took one of the reviewers suggestions and used cider vinegar instead of the white vinegar. I salt and peppered the chops and lightly browned them. I removed the chops from the skillet and with the pan drippings still in the skillet I added the ketchup, vinegar and some water mixed with a little cornstarch. I returned the chops to the skillet and sprinkled the brown sugar on each of the chops. I then topped each chop with a slice of onion and a slice of lemon. I love lemon and onion so I added extra of each. I brought it to a slow boil, covered the skillet, reduced the heat and simmered it for about 45 minutes. They were extremely moist and flavorful. It is delicious served over rice with the sauce. I am so glad that I tried this recipe. Yummy!

Cajun Style Blackened Snapper

Reviewed: Mar. 13, 2009
Really good recipe. Always, always cook this type of Cajun food outside. When you buy Cajun seasoning at the store, there is usually a warning on it about the smoke that will come from it while it is cooking. The smoke can be harmful to your health as well as to any pet birds in your home.

Salmon with Lemon and Dill

Reviewed: Mar. 2, 2009
Very, very good recipe. My family really enjoyed this a lot! I used unsalted butter to cut down on the amount of salt. Other than that, I prepared the recipe as written. My son had the leftover salmon for lunch and he said it was still very moist and delicious. Thank you for submitting this recipe. YUM!

Well, I was really hoping that my family would like this. Two out of four liked it. I thought it was good, not great. It seems to be missing something, just not sure what it is. My family has asked ne not to make this again. Sorry I couldn't give this recipe a better review. :(

Spicy Garlic Lime Chicken

Wow! My family really liked this recipe a lot! My son's friend came in the kitchen and said "It smells like gourmet chicken!" I followed the recipe as written. I chopped up the chicken when it was done cooking and served it in small flour tortillas with chopped tomatoes, onion, cilantro and minced serrano peppers. It makes great soft chicken tacos! Thank you very much for submitting this recipe. YUM!

Homestyle Turkey, the Michigander Way

Reviewed: Dec. 28, 2008
I used this recipe for game hens. I have to say that they were the best game hens ever! I cut four game hens in half and placed them in a large baking pan. I melted the butter in the broth and poured it over the game hens. I didn't need to use all of the broth for the hens so I used it for my stuffing. For the stuffing I added one more stick of butter and little chicken broth. I seasoned it with sage and then baked it, covered, in the oven. Everything turned out very tasty and moist. Great recipe!

Slow Cooker Dump and Go Cheesy Chicken

This was good. I had to make some changes but overall it is pretty good. Just a little salty for our taste. I won't add salt next time I make this. I used an 8oz. container of sour cream instead of milk and I also added a can of cream of chicken and mushroom soup. Thanks for the recipe.

Awesome Slow Cooker Pot Roast

Reviewed: Sep. 23, 2008
Loved this recipe! It was flavorful, very tender and moist. I did make a couple of changes. I used a can of cream of mushroom soup, a can of cream of mushroom with roasted garlic and used 1 cup of wine instead of the water. I also rubbed the roast with garlic powder and some freshly ground pepper. The gravy was very tasty. I did add some cornstarch (made into a paste) to thicken the gravy. I cooked the roast for about 10 hours on low. My family really enjoyed this recipe. I will be making this again!
