Jay's Jerk Chicken

Reviewed: Aug. 2, 2009
This was such an incredible dish! When I blended the marinade I dipped my finger in it and had a taste... I was over the moon! I could not believe that such a simple recipe could have so much flavour. This is going in my favorites.

Honey Mustard Dipping Sauce

Reviewed: Mar. 2, 2008
This was a pretty good recipe. I only used 1 tblsp of honey (trying to reduce sugar content) and added garlic powder instead of onion because that is what I had on hand. We loved this and will make it again!

Grilled Asian Chicken

Reviewed: Feb. 18, 2008
I rate this a 5 star recipe because everyone in my family including my 5 and 3 year old girls devoured this chicken! I myself found that the soy sauce was a bit overwhelming but next time I will just reduce it a bit. We will most definately make this again. Yum!

Creamiest Rice Pudding

Reviewed: Oct. 27, 2007
I had some leftover cooked rice and I thought that I could use it to make the pudding. It turned out wonderful. I used whole milk and simmered it for about an hour with a 2/3cup of honey (we are sugar intolerant). This used up all the milk and made the pudding very creamy. Then I followed the rest of instructions. I added some raisins and crushed walnuts and cinnamon. The end result is awesome! Thank you for a great recipe.

Baingan Bharta (Eggplant Curry)

Reviewed: Oct. 16, 2007
Yummy! This is such an awesome recipe. I did alter this a bit though. I diced up the eggplant and cooked it on the stove top. I did not add the jalepeno pepper because I like my Indian food mild. I also added half a can of coconut cream and some lemon juice. The yogurt I did not cook (to keep the good bacteria) but just added some ontop of everyones dish. This is a restaurant quality dish!

Garlic Chicken And Grapes

My husband and I both thought that this was a 5 star recipe. One thing we changed was using red cooking wine instead of the white wine vinigar. Delicious!

Tomato Barley Soup

Reviewed: Jan. 16, 2007
This recipe was good on its own. But I added a dollop of sour cream, parmesan cheese and shredded some cheese on top. I also added a can of kidney beans to the soup and some extra salt. My chicken stock was homemade and I had not added salt to it.

Polish Dill Pickle Soup

awesome! I used ground beef with fried mushrooms and onions. I also added some of the dill pickle juice to the soup and added whipping cream instead of flour and milk.

Parmesan Chicken

This is really awesome. I made the batter on chicken drumsticks instead of breasts. It went very well with steamed cauliflower as a side dish.

My family could not eat these. I followed the recipe exactly, and used it in a tomatoe soup that had similar spices and nobody could eat them.

Broiled Tilapia Parmesan

I made this a few weeks ago with chicken (as mentioned in the reviews) and everybody in my family gobbled it up. I believe my husband said that he has never had so much flavour in his mouth. Awesome!

Kielbasa Stew

Reviewed: Oct. 5, 2006
Awesome recipe!! My husband and I absolutely loved it. I changed this recipe around a bit to use some extra veggies and I did not have green peppers. I also used tomato souce instead of tomato soup with some veggie stock. I also used some octoberfest sausage and some extra roast beef instead of the kielbasa. It still turned out awesome. I had let the soup sit for a couple of hours before we ate it for supper to let the flavours blend.

Pumpkin, Sweet Potato, and Leek Soup

Reviewed: Nov. 14, 2005
Yummy!! I did not have cream, or celery and i did not add the spices and it still tasted amazing. I also just stuck the pumpkin in the oven for an hour to cook, then cored, chopped and peeled it. I will make this again.

Rabbit with Mustard

Reviewed: Oct. 4, 2005
To be honest, i have never tried rabbit before, so i was not sure what to expect. It was tough and chewy and realy hard to eat. The sauce was ok but i did not like the amount of wine in it. I might make this with chicken again with maybe just a touch of wine.
