I've been cooking for all my life it seems. I started experimenting in the kitchen when I was 5 or 6. I grew up in a family of good southern cooks. I hope to be able to pass this on to my daughter one day. She is 2 years old now and already like to help in the kitchen.
My favorite things to cook
Probably dinner for my family. I love to experiment with new things and try to put a good meal on the table every night. I think it is very important to sit down to dinner as often as possible.
My favorite family cooking traditions
Making my great grandma's coconut pies for Thanksgiving and Christmas. And my "famous" cheese ball for all family functions.
My cooking triumphs
Being able to make Granny's pies as good as she did.
My cooking tragedies
There are many, but what do they say, you don't learn unless you try and make mistakes.
