About this Cook
I truly enjoy cooking.. It is so relaxing to me. Just me in my kitchen with a glass of wine and a plan.. It just doesn't get much better than that.. I love planning the food to cook for a party. Finding a good recipe is worth it's weight in gold and I am constantly searching that's why I love this website and just about bought every cookbook allrecipes has to offer. Some other passions of mine are birdwatching, photography, and spending time with my wonderful husband and son. My family is very involved in racing as well which is my husband's passion and I also do enjoy. He has built and fabricated his very own engine in his mustang. My son is a toddler and high energy but I wouldn't have him any other way! He is the best and most precious gift God has given me and my husband!
My favorite things to cook
Anything and everything... but I am not a baker... although I do bake a lot for christmas but that's about the only time you'll catch me being creative in the baking category.
My favorite family cooking traditions
my dad usually cooks everything and my mom cleans it up. I think I get my cooking abilities and passion from my dad. He's very territorial in his kitchen.. Like father like daughter! my dad is very experimental as am I!
My cooking triumphs
Baking!
My cooking tragedies
The fudge I tried to make for Christmas .. I was told it look like cow dung. probably because when i was boiling the mixture it exploded and overflowed onto the stove top.. It was a down right scary and sweaty moment in my kitchen.

Zesty Slow Cooker Chicken Barbecue
this was so good and simple. i put em in frozen first thing in the morning and just let them go on low for about 9 hours.. paired it up wiht the octoberfest potato salad.. put it on a bun with a slice of cheese and red onion.. too good! thanks for the great recipe.. also.. i used cattlemans bbq sauce.. whichi really don't like much as a dipping sauce but it actually worked well as the sauce for this recipe.
