About this Cook
Newly single mom of one wonderful daughter. We both enjoy new recipes and coming up with our own concoctions.
My favorite things to cook
I love Southern cooking.
My favorite family cooking traditions
Lots of sweets before the holidays. My mom used to start in October and bake until the 24th of December. Yes, we had a deep freezer! 8-)
My cooking triumphs
I've been lucky when it comes to these. Either that, or everyone was mighty hungry!
My cooking tragedies
Burning a pot of pintos after I was newly married. I was so busy getting our new home in order, that I forgot all about them. 8-)

Baked Maryland Lump Crab Cakes
These were fantastic! I was looking for just this type of recipe to bake instead of fry. The only thing I did differently was to chill the cakes for a couple of hours before baking. Soooo good!

Honey Baked Chicken II
I have always used honey and butter when baking a whole chicken, but the addition of curry and musturd gives it a nice change! My daughter loved it!

Chocolate Chip Cookies Without Chocolate Chips
As a single mom on a budget, these cookies are great! My child and her friends really liked them.
