About this Cook
Married and have two Great Dane "kids". I work full-time and go to school part-time so I favor quick, easy, and healthy meals that my husband can also put together on nights I can't cook.
My favorite things to cook
I really don't enjoy cooking during the weekdays so much, but I do enjoy cooking dinners for special occasions.
My favorite family cooking traditions
I'm Korean so that's what I grew up eating. I absolutely love the food, but I don't eat as much now because I can't stop eating when I do. So we enjoy it every once in awhile. It's a real treat.
My cooking triumphs
I think the best thing I've made is Korean Chicken, my style. Another fav is a sweet potato casserole. Other than that, everything else is pretty mediocre.
My cooking tragedies
I know I've had quite a few, but they've all been learning experiences for me.

Yummy Honey Chicken Kabobs
This recipe awesome. I changed it a bit to save on calories, so instead of using 1/4 of vegetable oil I only used a tablespoon of olive oil with three tablespoons of water. The chicken was very very tasty and we'll definitely be doing this again.

Pork Tenderloin with Creamy Herb Sauce
This was ok, although my sister and husband seemed to really enjoy it. I thought it was a little herby for my taste so next time I'd probably cut back on the basil and parsley. I didn't use carrots, but I did saute a chopped onion and garlic in the oil, then browned the medallions on both sides. I used a Chardonnay for the wine, used fat free half and half. and I did have to double the sauce for the mashed potatoes (just served regular). Like I said, it was a big hit with my husband and sister, but I would give this another chance and cut back on the herbs a bit.

Lemon Garlic Tilapia
I followed the recipe and this turned out great. I served with rice and asparagus, and now we'll be eating at least once a week or so.
