About this Cook
I have been in the kitchen since I was 10 yrs old that is when I started baking mom's and grandma's recipes. Both taught me their cooking secrets. Sometimes I have to modify things for my diabetic husband.
My favorite things to cook
Baked goods, now learning to modify them for diabetic husband.
My favorite family cooking traditions
Our most favorite traditions are for Bdays most chose grandma's Waldorf Astoria Cake(also called red velvet). We always have home baked goods at holidays and most the time in the house growing up.
My cooking triumphs
Being able to make mom and grandma's recipes, that is a truimph because they were very good cooks. Everything was homemade.
My cooking tragedies
Caramels when I was in my 20's I did not grease the pan, and we had to chisel them out. The other was a homemade peanut butter cake that feel apart once out of the pan.

Easy Shake and Bake Chicken
This recipe was great as is!! Crunchy on the outside but moist inside. Thanks for the great chicken recipe. Healthier than fried but with a better taste.

The Perfect Basic Burger
This recipe yielded a very moist great tasting burger. I agree it does matter what grade hamburger you use. I added a tsp of Essence of Emeril. The results were a great tasting grilled burger.
