About this Cook
I have been married since 1998 and have a four year old son and a newborn baby girl (as of July 2007). I love family life; being a stay at home wife and mother and all that entails. I am blessed.
My favorite things to cook
I enjoy making up new recipes. It excites me when I bring something to the table and my husband goes on and on asking me where I got the recipe and I came up with it myself. (now I just need to get up the guts to post these recipes) I used to hate to bake, but my in-laws bought me a kitchen aid mixer a few years back and so now I enjoy baking and have learned a lot from the best baker/cook; my 'southern' mother-in-law. And I LOVE baking for my son who appreciates it, he always asks for MY cookies verses store bought.
My favorite family cooking traditions
I love big breakfasts. All family get togethers = good food. Holiday sweets = extra pounds but yummy.
My cooking triumphs
Getting a kitchen aid mixer and realizing how easy baking can be.
My cooking tragedies
Pound cake falling ... how depressing after all those ingredients. I sometimes leave out important ingredients or over do an ingredient, errr that makes me mad. It is hard to juggle kids and cooking sometimes.

Chocolate Glaze II
Turned out this is not what I was looking for, I wanted a glaze not a frosting. I added extra butter, milk and cocoa. I was wanting a glaze for a bundt cake that did not call for chocolate chips because I do not have any. It tastes good though so I will give it four stars. This is best with a dark cocoa.

Banana Crumb Muffins
I used 1/3 cup oil instead of butter, and added cinnamon and mini chocolate chips (maybe half a bag). Very moist and delicious.
