About this Cook
I've delved into all areas of food but keep coming back to creating fun and new recipes for others!
My favorite things to cook
I love preparing Mediterranean Foods, Pacific Rim, Tapas, using organic foods and especially cooking in the summer when everything is at it's optimal flavor.
My favorite family cooking traditions
Holiday meals- Easter, Christmas Day and New Years Eve. Lamb in the spring, Festive foods and sweets for Christmas, champagne and Portugese Bean Soup at midnight with all the family after the fireworks on New Years!
My cooking triumphs
Catering a friends wedding in 2 days for 300, full appetizer buffet and a sit down dinner all done in very limited facility (her mothers small kitchen) and the guests completely unaware of this logistical nightmare! It went off beautifully!
My cooking tragedies
Few but the most recent memory...overcooking/burning my brother in-laws birthday dinner "BBQ Ribs" and on top of that they were WAY too spicy/hot.

Chipotle Crusted Pork Tenderloin
This is a simple main dish to prepare. I let the rub sit on for longer and cut back 1/2 a tablespoon on the chipolte chili powder. This made great leftovers in a sandwich with a aioli mayonnaise!

White Peach Sangria
Love this recipe a huge hit during the summer. Prepare as instructed but with no grapes, then serve them martini sytle, rim a glass with lemon sugar and garnishwith a slice of peach! Leftovers? put them in the freezr and serve granita style.

Kalua Pig in a Slow Cooker
This is recipe is so "ono!" Super easy, I used the red alae Hawaiian salt and a misquite liquid smoke served as mini kalua pig sliders with chinese plum suace and people went crazy for it.
