I CROCHET , not knit and I ride our HARLEY with my husband , not biking ; but they weren't choices !!!! Close enough ! I'm married ; have 2 grandkids ; one daughter and one step-daughter . Both are grown , so we live by ourselves (YEEEEAAAAA!)
My favorite things to cook
I love to bake , but don't do it much now due to sugar and weight issues !!! I like to make soups , stir fry , absolutely LOVE HAMBURGERS ON THE GRILL ( my husband usually cooks those !) . I usually make easy things that leave leftovers to last a few days .
My favorite family cooking traditions
My sister , my daughter , my granddaughter and myself have started decorating Christmas cookies together . 2008 was our second year to do it . We aren't doing a lot of cookies yet , bacause Sophie is only 3 , and my grandson , Mason is only 7 months old . But my hope is that it will get bigger each year as the kids grow up!
My cooking triumphs
I am blessed with a husband who is EASY to please , so God bless him , he eats just about anything I cook and eats leftovers without complaining.
My cooking tragedies
The turkey I cooked this year for Thanksgiving ! The cooking bag was ripped , and I didn't know it until it was about 2/3 done cooking , and then I had to cook it way too long before it was the right temperature , and it was dry on the outside ! I have cook many turkeys and turkey breasts and they are always good , EXCEPT THIS ONE ! AND it was more expensive since it was a fresh turkey . I was very , very disappointed . But I did cook a turkey breast for Christmas , and it was just fine and the bag was just fine !
