About this Cook
I am a very proud and happy wife with two beautiful kids. I like to cook, but share this passion with my husband of 11 years. I like to try new things, and Allrecipes is a great place to see new ideas and share different combinations of ingredients. We take our laptop into the kitchen and view our saved recipes from allrecipes.com and this keeps us from having to have several cookbooks.
My favorite things to cook
Cinnamon rolls, cakes, anything that makes you "unhealthy"
My favorite family cooking traditions
Christmas morning monkey bread. Eggs Benedict (holidays).
My cooking triumphs
Pumpkin cake, Baklava, cakes, I'm very good at making pie crust and quiche.
My cooking tragedies
I once boiled a pie...is that even possible?

Peanut Butter and Banana French Toast
You can't get better. It just doesn't, unless you put some sort of homemade chocolate syrup or frosting on this. I make, eat, these or any number of version of these all the time. We add any/everything to our pancakes/waffles/frenchtoast. Peanut butter with anything is awesome in my book.

Ken's Perfect Hard Boiled Egg (And I Mean Perfect)
I did not have the success this recipe claims. I have tried several times, and with more and less vinegar. For me the difference is always the age of the eggs. The older the eggs the easier they are to peel after boiling.

Best Ever Banana Bread
This turns out very good. Very moist and delicious. We add extras to ours reguarly but the basic recipe is a great start. Try adding peanuts, macadamian, pecan, etc. to your batter. Also you can add a oatmeal type crumb topping to your bread halfway through the cooking process. Sometimes we add chocolate or butterscotch chips to the topping. This is really a delicious bread
