Pork Chops to Live For

This was an excellent recipe, but as some others, I did alter the recipe some. I did not sautee the chops first. I just put them right in the crock pot, seasonsed them with "Rib Rub" and added some beef boullion to the soup mixture. They were done in well less than the recommended time.

Hot Crab Dip

Living in the Chesapeake Bay region, I have many crab dip recipes but I have to say this is the best one yet! Everyone who has tried it loves it, including my nephew who is a chef. The only substitution I made was to add 2 tsp minced onion and 1 tsp horseradish.

Brown Sugar Meatloaf

This is a favorite recipe for the family - I have made it over and over again. In additonal to the recipe as shown I add 1/4 cup ketchup, 2 TBS Worsetershire sauce and 3/4 cup shredded cheddar and omit the ginger. Its a winner every time.

Mango Masala Scallop Skewers

This was a delicious recipe. I used Honey Bourbon skewers and substituted shallots (slightly sauteed) for the green onions. My family loved it and have asked for me to make it again.

Classic Macaroni Salad

Delicious variation of classic macaroni salad. The mustard gives it a great tangy taste. I did not add green pepper or pimento and it still came out great. Next time, I would reduce the sugar slightly.

Lime Fish Tacos

This was a delicious recipe! I used soft corn tortillas and panko-crusted Tilapia, which I baked and then sliced in half. I added some zip to the lime sauce by adding dill, garlic and extra hot sauce.

Taco Potato Pie

I cut back on the taco seasoning mix so recipe wouldn't be too salty. Added a little cumin to the ground beef and about 1/4 cup of salsa instead. It was delicious and my family loved it.

Slow Cooker Maple Country Style Ribs

Sour Cream Pork Chops

This is the most delicious pork chop recipe! It's a hit with my family every time. I do not brown the chops first - I just throw them in the crock pot, season them, and let them cook. I also put some small red potatoes and baby carrots in the crockpot to cook along with the chops. This is a favorite recipe!

Butternut Squash Soup

I followed this receipe to the letter. The soup came out delicious but was a little thick and cheesy. I would recommend reducing the amount of cream cheese by half. I added about a 1/4 white wine a 1/2 cup water to thin it out a little and it was perfect.

Chorizo Chicken Roll

I altered the recipe slightly. I used Andouille sausage instead of Chorizo and also added some sliced swiss cheese before rolling the chicken. I added a drizzle of brown gravy at the end which made the dish more moist. It was delicious!

Ginger Glazed Mahi Mahi

This is an excellent fish recipe. I followed the direction exactly as they are written and the fish came out perfectly. My husband is not a big fan of fish but eats it because he knows its good for him. So, I'm always looking for a way to make the fish that he'll enjoy better. He loved this recipe and has recently asked when I'll make it again.

Maple Roast Turkey and Gravy

This was the best turkey we have ever had. We were spending Thanksgiving away from home but I was bringing and cooking the turkey for the dinner. I made the maple butter up two days ahead and just rubbed the turkey with it on Thanksgiving Day. The turkey turned out exactly as the receip described. I'll use this recipe for other turkey dinners in years to come.

Raspberry and Almond Shortbread Thumbprints

This is a delicious buttery tasting cookie with a slight hint of the almond. I think I would increase the Almond extract by a 1/4 Tsp the next time I make them. I omitted the glaze, the cookies are great as they are without the glaze, although the glaze might make them a little more attractive. Freezing the cookies for 10 minutes before baking prevented them from spreading and I did use the chapstick hint provided by others which worked really well. A really great cookie recipe.

Peanut Butter Cup Cookies

This is an excellent recipe. So quick and easy to make. I was worried about the cookies being done because the batter was pretty wet when I took the cookies out of the oven, but as others have commented, the 8 minutes are perfect. Freezing the peanut butter cups was another great suggestion. I didn't have a mini muffin pan, so I used a cookie sheet and the cookies came out just fine. My toughest critics say these are some of the best cookies they've ever had. Looks like I'll have to make some more....

Greek Green Beans

This is an easy and excellent recipe. After reading it, I thought it would be bland but the flavors were just awesome. Made this recipe for a holiday and had to give several people the recipe after they tried it.
