About this Cook
Mother of a 6year old and two grown sons..what can I cook tonight that my daughter will also eat??
My favorite things to cook
Sunday dinner and Birthday dinners. All special occasions are a great reason to cook.
My favorite family cooking traditions
My family use to have big Thanksgiving and Christmas Dinners, the older we get the smaller they are becoming.
My cooking triumphs
Thanksgiving at my house a couple years ago was the best memory. I was a little nervous, but it turned out great.
My cooking tragedies
When I was pregnant the last time, I burned everything. I could not boil water.

Cajun Cabbage
I've made this along time ago but the original recipe calls for cheese, which was to be added before baking. This recipe does not tell you when to add the cabbage so I added it along with the rice and tomato. I still like it better with the cheese. Without it, it tasted like something was missing.

Marbled Pumpkin Cheesecake
I was a little disappointed in the marbling. I guess I should have layered the two and then pulled a knife through, also the pumpkin part was not sweet enough. I added pumpkin pie spice instead of the ones listed and the flavor was great, but I will change it a little next time.

Cranberry Salad III
This was very good, made it in a jello mold and served on Thanksgiving, I don't usually eat Cranberry sauce (although I serve it) and this one changed my mind, it was delicious. Other reviewers are right you need to have the cream cheese at room temp to spread. Was easy to prepare in advance and refridgerate until you use.
