I'm an engaged, 21 year old who grew up with an amazing cook as a mother. I always loved helping out when I could, and I've been learning how to make my favorite childhood recipes. Now that I'm in my own home, I'm trying to save money and have fun by cooking more. I love making bread -- nothing beats some homemade bread. This also stems from my love of bread/cake-like deserts. My mother makes incredible cinnamon rolls. A lot of work, but they're well worth it. I finally got the cinnamon rolls recipe from my mother, and made them. After I made it, without messing them up, I realized how much I liked making things, and that I shouldn't be scared to tackle new recipes on my own. The third or fourth time I made the cinnamon rolls, they flopped -- the dough never rose. Other than that, I've been pretty lucky.
