Hillary Clinton's Chocolate Chip Cookies

I like to substitute butter for the shortening and use half semisweet and half milk chocolate chips. Very good!

$2000.00 Pie Crust

Sorry, but this didn't work for me. It definitely needed more liquid, even here in humid south Georgia, but it was a crumbly mess. I'm a little ashamed to say I lost my patience with it and it went in the trash.

Very good--I have been using this sugar/water formula since trying this. Like some other reviewers, I also fry twice because that is how I remember my grandmother and aunt making fries when I was young.

Delicious Ham and Potato Soup

Slow Cooker Beef Stew I

This makes a good crock pot stew. I used 1 1/2 lbs. of beef because that is all I had, and it was plenty. I will use that amount from now on. I did brown the meat first, then sprinkled with the flour, etc. according to the directions. I will ease up on the salt next time, as it was just a tad salty. Thanks!

Marie's Easy Slow Cooker Pot Roast

Tasty and tender. I seasoned with lots of Montreal Seasoning but I didn't think it was necessary to use beef broth as some suggested, so I used 3/4 c. water and 1/4 c. red wine, and I will do the same next time. I left the peel on my small red whole potatoes and cut the carrots into largish chunks, and they were just right after cooking all day on low. I did leave out the celery and next time will add more carrots. Thanks!

Deluxe Chocolate Marshmallow Bars

Kids especially love these gooey bars, and they are always a hit at gatherings. Rather than measure out the mini marshmallows, I add enough of them to make an even layer so the topping is easier to spread over them. (The marshmallows will swell together a little when returned to the oven.)

Pretty Chicken Marinade

I doubled the mixture and marinated a quartered chicken for about 20 hours. I did have to use half lemon juice and half orange juice. It was very good; I especially liked the crispy, flavorful skin!
