About this Cook
I am 43, I have an 8 year old son and have been living in Spain for 5 years. I regularly cater events for up to 100 people.
My favorite things to cook
Slow cooker dishes and finger food
My favorite family cooking traditions
Roast Beef and Yorkshire Puddings
My cooking triumphs
I accidentally used cayenne pepper (Cayena) instead of cinnamon (Canela) in a mango bread recipe and everybody raved about it and insists I make this "mistake" every time now.
My cooking tragedies
I manage to always burn pizzas (nothing else - just pizzas)

Grilled Beer Chicken
I don't have a BBQ so I put the whole chicken with the 1/2 the butter/beer mixture in my slow cooker. After about 6 hours I took off the lid and transferred it to the oven to crisp the skin. IT WAS DELICIOUS. Next time I may try another reviewers suggestion of a brown sugar/chilli mixture just to mix up the flavours a bit.

Hawaiian Tarts
Wow! These are delicious. I did them just as the recipe but since I didn't have a mini-muffin tray I did full sized muffins. Next time I will cheat though and use ready made short crust pastry for the base.

Orange Charlotte
This recipe produced a delicious, light and fluffy orange mousse. Next time I think I will half the recipe though because it is too yummy and I kept going back for more which is not good for my ever expanding waistline.
