I have to say that I really got into cooking about 3 years ago, I got kicked in the face by my horse and it was the only thing I could find to do that didn't compromise the surgeries that I had to have done. But now I am 23 years old with a 1 year old daughter and I love to cook. I throw dinner parties and bake things for my neighbors and people at church all the time. I am currently enrolling back into college to take some culinary classes and maybe open my own bakery.
My favorite things to cook
I love to bake, cookies, cheesecakes, bread, etc... But I pretty much cook anything and everything I can, always from scratch. I use mostly organic ingredients, but occasionally have to throw in some commercial foods. I also have a lot of animals so I am always trying to come up with new recipes to make for them.
My favorite family cooking traditions
I don't really have any cooking traditions. My Great Uncle Elmer started teaching me to cook when I was little. We cooked pancakes and banana pudding whenever we got together.
My cooking triumphs
My cheesecakes are to die for. They are a hit whereever I go.
My cooking tragedies
I used to have a hard time with yeast. I could never get it to rise, and I would put it in the oven anyways...Big mistake.
