I like comfort food the most. I mainly cook for my girlfriend and guests, maybe three times a week at most. It's therapeutic to me, I've cooked casually since I was a child and started getting serious in college. I like to think I'm pretty good at it. My mother used to make delicious Chicken Maryland. That was my favorite. My father's family is German and we traditionally cook a lot of rustic meat-and-potatoes type dishes. My homemade (from scratch) spaghetti sauce is phenomenal, everybody loves that. I made my first pecan pie this Thanksgiving, which was delicious. Any dish that people love is a triumph in my eyes. I'm good at sexing up bad dishes, so my failures are rarely out-and-out tragedies. There have been some pretty bad ones, though.
