My favorite things to cook
I like comfort food the most. I mainly cook for my girlfriend and guests, maybe three times a week at most. It's therapeutic to me, I've cooked casually since I was a child and started getting serious in college. I like to think I'm pretty good at it.
My favorite family cooking traditions
My mother used to make delicious Chicken Maryland. That was my favorite. My father's family is German and we traditionally cook a lot of rustic meat-and-potatoes type dishes.
My cooking triumphs
My homemade (from scratch) spaghetti sauce is phenomenal, everybody loves that. I made my first pecan pie this Thanksgiving, which was delicious. Any dish that people love is a triumph in my eyes.
My cooking tragedies
I'm good at sexing up bad dishes, so my failures are rarely out-and-out tragedies. There have been some pretty bad ones, though.
