I am 28.I live 2 blocks from the Ohio River with my mother,one cat,and one dog.I work in the deli of our local grocery store which happens to be less than a block from our house.I am a member of our local writers group.I enjoy writing poetry almost as much as cooking,however cooking is tastier!

I use a lot of fresh fruits and vegetables and seafood when I cook.I also am known as the queen of cheesecake!
My favorite family cooking traditions
Lemon chess pie at Thanksgiving.Fudge snowballs at Christmas.Moms barbequed chicken and fried okra.
My cooking triumphs
King cake! The first time I have conquered a yeast bread recipe!Yipee!Making spritz cookies at Christmas and finally getting the cookie press to work!
My cooking tragedies
Last year when I tried to make hot cross buns for Easter.(see mention of yeast above)They didn't rise and tasted like rocks!
