About this Cook
adventurous cook that is always experimenting with new flavors and recipes. I'm a musician and a college student studying History and Latin.
My favorite things to cook
pizza pizza pizza. haha. I love cooking everything, but my pizza is famous in this town.
My favorite family cooking traditions
I come from a family steeped in Southern traditional cooking. Since we live on the Gulf Coast of Mississippi, Southern cuisine here is hybridized with asian and french seafood stylings. From gumbo to thai to plain grits, we're just into good food. All the holidays are cookies, candy, ham, and turkey...but usually with creole flair. turkey gumbo ftw.
My cooking triumphs
First attempts are usually never 100 percent, but my baked cheesecake pwns.
My cooking tragedies
Habanero turkey burgers. Impossible to eat even though we all enjoy spicy foods.

Easy, Speedy Corn Muffins
Wonderful recipe. I doubled the recipe to accommodate the 12 people at the pot luck. I was out of buttermilk so I added a can of evaporated milk and 1 cup of 2% milk. I also used safflower oil in instead of plain vegetable. They came out great. I brushed melted sweet cream butter mixed with honey on the tops as they came out of the oven. The double recipe produced 18 muffins and a 8-inch pan. They were a hit.

Light Oat Bread
Amazing. More compliments came from this bread than any other out of my bread machine. I added 1 tsp. of honey just to add to the flavor, and I have been bombarded since with recipe requests. thanks.

White Bread For The Bread Machine
Tastes just like the out of box bread machine products. I used all-purpose flour instead, and this bread still came out great. Nothing like adding butter to fresh homemade bread. yumm!
