Blueberry Pie

Reviewed: Nov. 27, 2009
If I could give this more stars I would! I don't like blueberry pie but my family does so I made this for Thankgiving...PERFECT PIE:) I used 4 cups of blueberries (frozen), 5tblsp cornstarch, 1/4 tsp cinnamon, 2tbsp of butter and a dash of lemon juice. We had about 10 different deserts on the table and this was the first to go. Presentation was beautiful and the filling held up. Thank you for my new favorite pie recipe:)

I just made these to put into a salad tomorrow and all I can say is I hope I have some left!!! These are super easy and oh so good. I put mine on foil sprayed with Pam and baked at 300' for about 30 minutes stirring every 10. Thanks for a great recipe:)

Swedish Meatballs I

Reviewed: Nov. 18, 2009
I was looking for a meatball recipe and came across this one along with Swedish Meatballs II. After having read all the reviews, I did what alot of other reviewers did and combined the two. I used the sauce from I and made the meatballs from II. I also used 1/2 package of onion soup mix. garlic powder and sour cream in the sauce. I used regular bread crumbs in the meatballs. Served over mashed potatos and all was good. I will be making these again. So comforting and easy. Thanks!

PERFECT! This will be my bread recipe from now on. I changed the servings to 18 and ended up with 2 perfect loaves. I also made these the old fashion way since I don't have a machine. Wonderful!!

Beef Barley Vegetable Soup

Reviewed: Oct. 28, 2009
This was really good and easy. I had leftover shredded beef in its juice from a dinner a couple nites ago. I threw this in the crockpot along with all other ingredients except the barley. Let it go all day and added the barley when the veggies were done. Excellent!! I used broth instead of boullion. I'll make this again. Thanks.

Danish Pastry Apple Bars II

Reviewed: Oct. 25, 2009
Oh my goodness. These turned out fabulous! I followed the recipe except I made 1 1/2 times the crust and I added about 1/4 of sugar to the crust. I think to have enough crust to cover a 9x13 you need to do this. Everything else remained the same. So yummy. This I will make again and again.

French Brioche

Reviewed: Oct. 25, 2009
I really liked this as did my family. I read the reviews and decided to use 1 pkg of yeast, tsp of salt and doubled the sugar. I then made it into one big loaf. Here is where I ran into problems (my own). I really should have divided the dough into two loaves because I had a HUGE loaf of bread. I baked it for a total of 35 minutes having covered it with foil after 20. I also used my kitchenaid to mix this. Again, very good and I will make it again!

I'm sorry, these were just not good. I gave it 3 stars for how easy they were to make. Even my family hasn't really touched them and that tells me something.

Delicious Ham and Potato Soup

Reviewed: Aug. 29, 2009
I really liked this recipe not only because it tastes really good but because it is so simple. I thought I had ham in the freezer but didn't so I used bacon instead. I also used potato flakes to thicken it up. No celery on hand so I threw in some carrots. I will make this again and add different things. Great recipe!!!

These were pretty good. Two out of the four of us liked them. I did not top them with the bread crumbs and cheese until they were just about done. These are really simple to make.

Pork Medallions with Balsamic Vinegar and Capers

Reviewed: Aug. 24, 2009
I wish I could give this more than 5 stars. When even my picky husband likes it, you know it's a winner. The only difference I did was to double all sauce ingredients BUT the vinegar. I left that at 1/3 cup and for us it was perfect. Will definately make again. Thanks for a great recipe:)

We had these at a family reunion and my kids fell in love! I didn't get the recipe but was happy to find it on here. I find them very sweet and I'm not much of a fan of marshmellow. I will make them again because everyone else loves them:)

Gumbo Style Chicken Creole

I really liked this. I did add an additional can of tomatoes and some kilbasa but otherwise followed the recipe to a "T". I served this over brown rice. Next time I'm going to kick it up a notch with more spice.
