Chocolate Chip Sprinkle Cookies

Reviewed: Dec. 21, 2009
I will not add the candy sprinkles next time. They didn't do a thing for the cookie in my opinion except add more sugar. I used 1 cup of the chips and 1 cup of M & M's. Really tasty cookie with great texture and nice crunch. Thanks.

The Best Lemon Bars

Reviewed: Dec. 19, 2009
Wonderful buttery crust but not quite lemony enough - wish I'd of listened to a few of the reviewers who stated this. I think it needs one more lemon. I did add some zest and topped with some sifted powdered sugar. Thank god I'm giving these away or I'd eat em all - lacking lemon flavor and all.

Raspberry Cream Muffins

Reviewed: Dec. 19, 2009
I definitely backed off on the sugar a bit and did not add to the top of the batter - just overkill. The thick batter does do number on the raspberries as you fold them in but the raspberry flavor was still excellent. I think these would be fine without the almond extract - it was pretty prominent and did not enhance these. I would also use less white choc. if I ever made again. Thanks.

Swiss Chicken Casserole I

This was not bad at all. I did doctor up the stuffing mix with some sauteed onions and celery and chicken stock. Made for an enjoyable meal. Thanks.

Chicken Enchilada Casserole II

Reviewed: Dec. 5, 2009
This was pretty good. I know better but didn't think about it - unless you like crunchy onions - pre cook them because 20 to 30 min. is not enough time to completely soften them up. Didn't really think this was anything spectacular but was a good meal. Thanks Anya.

Cola Pork Chops

Reviewed: Nov. 24, 2009
Good chops. I couldn't resist enhancing this dish just a bit. I seasoned the chops with kosher salt and ground pepper. I browned the chops then removed them to the baking dish. I sauteed some onions and mushrooms in the same pan, then covered the chops with that mix. Poured the sauce mix over all and only baked for 30 min. Turned out very good. Thanks Just_Peachy.

Mexican Fire Rice

Reviewed: Nov. 24, 2009
We really enjoyed this. I cooked the rice in chicken broth. I used a can of rotel and half a jar of chunky salsa (med. heat). I mixed most of the cheese in with the rice and saved just enough to sprinkle on top. This was very "fire" like and will make it again. Thanks Chaunih

Slow Cooker Chicken Stroganoff

Reviewed: Nov. 18, 2009
This was very good. I did add some fresh crimimi mushrooms with the soup and cream cheese. Can't imagine this without them. Next time I will add some minced garlic and onions. This was very rich even tho I used low fat products. I served it over whole wheat noodles. Will use this recipe again. Thanks Judi Ann!

Cajun Spicy Potato Wedges

Reviewed: Nov. 9, 2009
I used russet potatoes because thats what I had - should of used red or yukon golds- would of been better suited for this. Turned out ok - didn't realize I didn't have tumeric. Had a nice touch of heat and we enjoyed them but probably won't make again. We have other roast potato recipes we prefer. Thanks for the recipe.

Crumb-Coated Chicken Thighs

Was a quick throw together. Used panko crumbs, BLSL thighs and the spices as called for. I drizzled just a bit of olive oil on them before putting in the oven. They came out very crispy and flavorful. Nice spice combo. Thanks Kara!

Lettuce with Buttermilk Dressing

I had some buttermilk that needed to be used up and found this easy dressing recipe. I had to fiddle with the quantity of the ingredients just a bit to get exactly what I wanted but it's very tasty and I will use it again. Thanks for sharing Jean!

Mongolian Beef and Spring Onions

Pretty yummy stuff. We enjoyed this over some steamed rice. I have always thought of mongolian beef as a spicy dish so I added some pepper flakes and that really did the trick. Thanks for sharing this recipe. I will make is again for sure.

Restaurant Style Egg Drop Soup

Reviewed: Oct. 30, 2009
I did thicken this first before adding the eggs and still got puffy eggs but I'm sure it was my technique. For such a simple soup it had great flavor but did think it could be improved upon. Will make again but try adding some additional flavors. Thanks for the recipe!

Chicken Fried Chicken

Reviewed: Oct. 22, 2009
I thought this was excellent. I dipped in flour first, then egg, then the cracker mix. I added some panko crumbs in with the mix and lots of seasoning. The chicken turned out nice and crispy with great flavor. Served this with creamy milk gravy, mashed potatoes and roasted broccoli. Good meal - thanks!

Chili Cheese Snacks

I agree that these need more spice. Next time I will add Jalapanos for sure. I had no issues with with burning on the bottoms but they did get browner than the top. Parchment paper is a good idea. These were enjoyed by all. Best when hot. Thanks Carol!

Chili Cheese Dip III

Reviewed: Oct. 18, 2009
I wasn't so crazy about this but wow did the guys ever go for it. I think this might of been better for me if I had mixed it all up instead of layering it. And the cheese.......omg....I can't even imagine putting the whole 16 oz. of cheese on top of this....it made too much of a cheese crust and I only used 8 oz. of cheese. If I made this again I might try mixing it all up. Oh - I baked mine instead of microwaving it. Thanks Kathy!
