Dirt Cake I

This was easy and delicious! Like others, I left out the butter and it was still awesome. Just don't miss that the recipe calls for 32 oz of oreos, not 32 oreos!

Margaritas to Die For

Reviewed: Jun. 1, 2009
I'm not much of a margarita drinker, but these were oh-so-good! I agree with other reviewers - this really made about 2 or maybe 3 drinks (if served on the rocks). I also cut the amount of tequila in half and they're still good and strong! Overall a great recipe and I can't wait to see what my friends think.

Clone of a Cinnabon

Reviewed: Dec. 31, 2008
I wanted this to be perfect - it sounded so perfect! I think this was probably chef-error more than recipe. The cinnamon ended up getting really crunchy and I probably overcooked them a tiny bit. Maybe I'll try again, but it was kind of a lot of work!

We made this recipe as listed with Tilapia. I'm not a huge fish fan, but this one was pretty good and really easy - will definitely make again

Best Chocolate Chip Cookies

These were good (hard to screw up a chocolate chip cookie!) but I like the classic tollhouse recipe better!

Pepper Chicken Piccata

This was really good and really easy - I used way more garlic, but other than that I stuck the recipe - YUM!

Really good - I used Craisins instead of raisins and frosted with the Cream Cheese II frosting, and these were a big hit!

Mmmm...this one was really good! I highly recommend if you're making 24 cupcakes to 1/2 the recipe - I had TONS left over and I just wanted to eat it all!

Yogurt Spinach Dip

Reviewed: Jul. 4, 2007
This was pretty gross, which is such a shame because I really wanted it to be good! I took the suggestion of another reviewer and subed an extra 1/2 cup of yogurt for the mayo, but I think that made it worse. I also ended up with waaaaay too much "sauce", so I kept throwing spinich in. I added artichokes, onions, parm, and still it wasn't very tasty :( It did taste the best when I ate it on bell pepper "chips"

Pasta, Chicken and Artichokes

Reviewed: Jul. 4, 2007
I agree with some of the other reviews - the proportions are WAY off on this one. I did make a lot of modifications and it did turn out pretty well - added lots more broccoli, peppers, onions, and olive oil/white wine to give it more flavor. I used whole-wheat pasta and couldn't tell the difference. Next time I make this I will be sure to do some more experimentations!

Greek Chicken Salad

Reviewed: Jun. 25, 2007
I made this in an attempt to get a few more veggies in. I added shredded romaine lettuce and chopped tomatoes to the mix, and let it marinade for an afternoon. I also used Newman's Own light italian, and put it on some pitas I got at Whole Foods. As it turns out, I think I ate this for 3-4 days and ended up losing a few pounds. Quite tasty!

Turkey Burgers

I thought these were really good - I didn't seem to have a problem with the water like everyone else, but then I kind of left most of it in the bottom of the bowl. I made mine "Red Robin" style with cheese, guacamole and pico - YUM! will definitely make again.

Bread Pudding I

Reviewed: Dec. 3, 2006
This was my first bread pudding ever. As others recommended, I used 5 eggs instead of 6, but it still tasted quite eggy. I also used cinnamon bread instead of regular bread. People seemed to like it; describing it at "like French toast". It was all right for a first attempt.

Garlic Asparagus with Lime

Finally a vegetable I'll eat that isn't smothered in cheese! This is really good. I had to cook a bit longer for the asparagus to be soft enough, though.

Feta Chicken Salad

Reviewed: Aug. 30, 2006
Like most people, I altered the recipe a bit. I used garlic and herb feta (YUM!) and instead of mayo (I can't stand it) I used whipped cream cheese. It was pretty good, and actually I have found that it tastes the best a day or two later! I put it on toast, and I really like it. I will most likely make it again, although it's hard for me to get ahold of cooked chicken!

We made a non-alcoholic version of this for work...it was really good, but we halved the limeade and lemonade and used pineapple juice instead of rum - turned out really well! I think I will try the real recipe out at my next party

Bella's Rosemary Red Potatoes

These were pretty good, although I substituted the vegetable oil for more-healthy olive oil. I also suggest adding fresh garlic to the mix. I will probably make these again.
