About this Cook
I am a 27 year old mom of two boys, and I am a wife to an amazing military man. My youngest child eats anything I cook, while my oldest lived off of pop tarts for a whole year. I love to cook!! It is one of my simple pleasures in life. My favorite thing is to make an amazing meal and to see everyone enjoy it.
My favorite things to cook
I am Italian so I love to cook zugu (sicilian spaghetti sauce), Meatballs, anything involving noodles, and any gourmet recipe I can get my hands on. Actually I love to cook everything!
My favorite family cooking traditions
Spaghetti sauce of course, and we make sugar cookies with special frosting every year for christmas and I am always asked to bring my secret cranberry sauce recipe to Thanksgiving each year.
My cooking triumphs
The latest favorite for all was a tenderized chop with an italian cranberry stuffing. The three tier cake I made for my sons first birthday covered in different colors of fondant. It took 16 hours and I haven't baked a cake since then, but it was well worth it.
My cooking tragedies
Lemon Pasta....what a disaster.

Sugar Cookie Glaze
Yum..Yum!! This is great...I usually make a confecitoners sugar and milk frosting for my sugar cookies but I was looking for something shiny and new this time and the corn syrup does the trick. I do not like a thin frosting/glazes so the only change I made was to add 1 1/2 cups confectioners sugar (instead of just one) to make it thicker..if it is to thick you just add a sprinkle of water and..perfecto! Threw the frosting in a baggie, cut off the tip and swirled it on...I ended up with a perfectly thick, shiny and very easily spreadable frosting...will always use this recipe from now on!! oh yeah I used a food coloring paste for a brighter color, and corn syrup with vanilla in it.

Yummy Honey Chicken Kabobs
This was SOOOOO AMAZING!!!! I marinated chicken, onion, bell peppers and cherry tomatoes. We had guests over for dinner and all agreed that this was the best marinade that they ever had...the chicken was so tenderized and delish!!! Will use this marinade for forever!!
