About this Cook
I'm a working wife and mother with a busy 3 year old.
My favorite things to cook
I love quick and easy recipes but good old Southern comfort food is my favorite.
My favorite family cooking traditions
All my favorite childhood memories of my Grandma include food. Grandma came from the old school of food cures all. If your boyfriend breaks your heart, your dog dies or you cut off your arm--you always get "Honey why don't you eat something it'll make you feel better."
My cooking triumphs
Feeding the family on a budget with meal that healthy, and QUICK.
My cooking tragedies
During the first Thanksgiving dinner that I hosted and I thought I had the perfect "Martha" holiday. After the bird had been sliced I was mortified when my grandma discovered the giblets were still in the neck area. I didn't realize they stuffed extra strange bird parts in both cavities!

Any-Season Fruit Bowl
This was very easy to make and very tasty. I was a little worried about the anise flavor because I am not a big fan of the anise flavor. But after cooking the syrup as directed it left just a very slight little hint of anise that was not overpowering and made you stop and say mmm what is that. I will definitely make this again. Thanks for the recipe.

Jenni's Turkey and Dressing Pie
This is a great recipe--very easy and quick to prepare. Even my husband who dislikes casseroles thought it was a winner.

Broccoli Chicken Fettuccini Alfredo
SUPER EASY and DELICIOUS. I tried this one last night and even my 2 year old said mmmm! I did shorten the already quick cooking time by using pre-cooked chicken and frozen broccoli which I cooked with bow-tie pasta.
