They were very good, but a little too crispy for my taste (I may have overbaked a bit though so watch them carefully). I also substituted the shortening with butter.

We used this marinade with our own preference for vegis - eggplant and zucchini. It was wonderful! Will definitely become a staple for grilling!

Italian Spaghetti Sauce with Meatballs

The meatballs were great, but the sauce wasn't my favorite. We like a thicker, sweeter sauce and this isn't close. Overall, it wasn't bad...there are just better options on this site in my opinion.

This was wonderful! The texture was very similar to red beans and rice and the flavor was wonderful (and I even left the bacon out due to fat content). I will make this many, many more times.

These were wonderful! I too skipped the marinated onions but they still came out great! I also didn't snap all the beans due to time constraint but I couldn't tell the difference.

Roasted Brussels Sprouts

My husband has stated many times that he hates Brussels Sprouts but he enjoyed these! They were the best ones I've ever had (and the only ones I've ever liked). I did add minced garlic in the mix. I also highly suggest lining the pan with aluminum foil. A few spots were extremely hard to clean.

Savory Crescent Chicken

These were very good and I'll make them again, but they definitely need a lot more seasoning. I cooked the chicken in butter with garlic/onion powder and added 1tsp minced garlic with a touch of cayenne pepper to the cheese mix and my husband still commented that they were bland.

Mostaccioli Bake

This was fantastic!! My husband loved it - it is rare for him to rate anything without meat as 5 stars. I made the following changes: used 16oz pasta, 24 oz spaghetti sauce, used ricotta instead of cottage cheese. I also mixed in 2 tsp garlic, 1tsp basil and some italian seasoning (the kind with crushed red peppers) in the spinach mixture. Without the extra garlic and seasonings it would have been only 4 stars.

Puff Balls

My husband has made these for years but being from New Orleans we call them fast beignets and eat them for breakfast. They are wonderful and have made them for many houseguests when we don't have time (or mix) to make real beignets.

Too Much Chocolate Cake

I followed the directions exactly and I didn't really care for the cake - I was so disappointed after reading the great reviews. It tasted like a doctored up box cake to me and my guests didn't rave about it. Next time I will look for a new chocolate cake recipe.
