About this Cook
I'm a busy mom of three kids under four. What else is there to say?
My favorite things to cook
I love baking homemade bread...although I must admit I now cheat with the help of a bread maker. A few favorites include anything on the bbq, stir fry and good italian....oh and homemade chocolate chip cookies
My favorite family cooking traditions
Sticky buns on Christmas morning That and my grandmother used to make dilly beans every year. She hasn't been able to do it for a while now, but I'm thinking of picking up the tradition.
My cooking triumphs
Having time to make a really nice meal is a triumph these days!
My cooking tragedies
Nothing really comes to mind. I think there have only been two things I've ever made that I wouldn't eat. They weren't horrible, just not great.

Stephanie's Freezer Spaghetti Sauce
As I was making this I didn't think I was going to like it, but it actually turned out to be really good. When I served it, I added some meatballs to beef it up a bit.

Puppy Chow
This isn't my favorite thing in the world, but I use it as a staple for a fun playdate snack. Both the moms and kids always love it! You can also make whatever alterations you want. It's pretty hard to screw up.

Slow Cooker Manly Stew
My family really liked this recipe. I added a bit of water because I thought it would be too thick, but I don't know that I needed too. We served it over mashed potatoes. Since we aren't big leftovers fan, I put the rest in a pot pie for the next day.
