About this Cook
After working for 20 years in corporate America; I started my second career MOTHERHOOD. I have two wonderful daughters and a fabulous husband. When my girls went to school, I started a home business conducting hands-on cooking classes in my kitchen.
My favorite things to cook
I love to WOW people! Wonderful flavors, consistently delicious, and simple to make often low calorie.
My favorite family cooking traditions
Showing my friends, family and daughters tips and techniques in the Kitchen.
My cooking triumphs
I've cooked for 100 at a neighbor's daughter's graduation party on Father's Day then returned to my house to prepare a gourmet supper for my husband and his parents. I handled everything for a formal holiday dinner party for 40 people in a neighbor's home. Planned, decorated, budgetted and cooked supper for a Doctor's Office and their spouses. Menu included my Signature Appetizers (Warm Goat Cheese Breads & beautifully cut Lox hors d'oeuvres), Alaskian King Crab Salad on Cukecumber Ribbons, Vichyssoise, Grilled Tenderloin with Twiced Baked Sweet Potatoes, String Bean Almondine & Giant Guyeree Popovers, Individual Floral Molten Chocolate Cakes, Homemade Icecream & Fresh Raspberry. Accompanied by the perfect Wine & Champagne Pairings....Guests arrived at 5:30 PM and did not leave the home until 2 AM Unbelievably SUCCESSFUL Evening!!!!
My cooking tragedies
I donated a dinner for 8 and was doing the party in a builder's model home. We forget it was a brand new oven--turned it on to preheat then smelled something odd. The packet of warranty information in plastic was melting on the rack.
