3-Bean Chicken Stew with cous-cous
About this Cook
I am a travelling English teacher and food lover. Cooking is a way of relaxation for me and I love experimenting with both new recipes and my own inventions.
My favorite things to cook
I am not particular about the food I like and love to try everything from ethnic meals to traditional favourites. My favourite recipes are those that create surprising and complex flavours in a short time. I am especially interested in soups, pastas and chicken dishes.
My favorite family cooking traditions
Hungarian meals made by my grandma will always be among my favourites and I love the traditional dishes cooked on an open fire.
My cooking triumphs
Following and tweeking recipes is easy. My biggest triumphs come from tasty meals I dream up and create myself.
My cooking tragedies
Marinating lemon chicken for too long. Ick!

Penne with Red Pepper Sauce and Broccoli
Really nice and simple if you don't bother to blend everything. I used finely chopped jarred peppers and just sauted all the ingredients before mixing with the pasta. Fast and tasty for a mid-week meal.

Chicken with Asparagus and Roasted Red Peppers
Very impressive-looking for how little work it is. Beautiful colours and the balsamic adds great flavour. The chicken didn't come out as tender as I would have liked, so next time I'm going to cut it into thinner pieces for reduced cooking time. Definitely add more broth to be able to enjoy the delicious sauce.

Fantastic Lemon Butter Fillet
So good. The sauce is out of this world, so much better than just baking the fish in tin foil with lemon and butter. I didn't think pre-boiling the sauce would make such a difference, but it did.
