I grew up in a house where my dad did 90% of the cooking. Learning to cook was not a rite of passage for daughters in my house. My first year of marriage I could make scrambled eggs and macaroni and cheese (from a box). Now (fifteen years later) my husband brags about my cooking and friends call me for recipe ideas. I like to make comfort foods, Italian dishes and breads. My grandmother's harvest rolls are a must for Thanksgiving dinner. Chicken pot pie No real tragedies but my pie crust needs work.
