About this Cook
I am a new mom so I don't get to experiment as often as I once did. When I get the chance I love trying new recipes!
My favorite things to cook
Anything new. I make my boyfriend be my guinea pig!
My favorite family cooking traditions
My family is from the midwest and they still cook those rich comfort foods. I love finding new ways to make them healthier, but with them same taste.
My cooking triumphs
Over the years I have learned to perfect several types of cookies! I used to make flat brick cookies. Now they are moist and chewy everytime!
My cooking tragedies
I am bad at cooking homemade mac n' cheese. I have yet to learn how to do it right! It always comes out dry and chunky. Blah!

Runzas (Bierocks)
This was a really good recipe! I rounded up the beef to 2 lbs, also used more mozzarella cheese,a diced onion, and two cloves of garlic. There were rave reviews from my family and friends for this labor day get together we had tonight and they want this to be a regular recipe in our household. I did take a users advice to use Rhodes Texas Rolls, and once I got tired of rolling one roll at a time I started squishing two together and rolling that to make a larger runza, which were ate up easily. And that made it all a little easier. Oh yeah, season to suit your own taste... I liked Jane's Crazy Salt Mix for this recipe. One last change... I used melted butter on the runza's instead of oil. Thanks for the recipe this was AWESOME!!! PS. For picky cabbage haters, it cooks down alot and you don't really taste it much, it is more of a filler in these great sandwiches.

Cake Balls
I don't even like cake and frosting, but I LOVE these. They are addictive! I have passed on this recipe to many, and I have gotten to taste many different kinds thanks to some daring friends! I still love the basic chocolate cake, cream cheese frosting and chocolate almond bark. H-E-A-V-E-N!!!!

Buffalo Chicken Dip
This is sooo good and addictive! This can easily be served with tortilla chips too. That way there is no other flavor distracting from this heavenly dip. I use Cookies Buffalo Sauce. I always have the ingredients for this recipe on hand... it come in handy all the time!
