I'm a theatre student at USC. Due to a history of colon cancer in the family I've had to give up heavier foods so that my system can function normally. So, I'm working on adapting recipies towards more organic and body friendly solutions.
My favorite things to cook
Brownies :) And pasta dishes (cause I'm Italian/Sicilian)
Any thanksgiving food, since it's my absolute favorite holiday!
I also make a pretty mean omlette, just ask my boyfriend.
My favorite family cooking traditions
My grandmother was Italian and I've learned a lot about cooking and baking from her. Lasagna was something we did together every year until she was too fatigued to cook. The tradition lives on with my mom.
My cooking triumphs
My pumpkin pie at thanksgiving.
Recently I adapted our family brownie recipie to be more organic and I've never gotten more compliments on my food before. It was amazing.
I made veal chops for my boyfriend and me for valentine's day and that went over so well. I felt like a five star chef.
My cooking tragedies
I learned the hard way that you shouldn't bake with Splenda - it does a number on your digestive track and it just doesn't taste as good.
