I am SAHM with 2 kids. I really would like to find more recipes I can cook with my kids. I love baking and trying new recipes. Cooking with my grandma in her kitchen. Our favorites were fried chicken, mashed potatoes with gravy, and coleslaw served with iced sweet tea. My most recent triumph was serving seafood gumbo to my Mother-in-law.(she is under the impression that I never cook, and what I do cook is not edible.) Anyway she raved and raved about the gumbo, and even called me weeks later to ask for the recipe, because she was still thinking about it. I once served a pound cake with a lemon glaze to guests. But, I forgot to add sugar to the glaze and it was so horrible. I was so embarrassed because I had worked on it for hours.
