About this Cook
I am a happily married woman with two adult children and 7 grands. My husband and I live in Caboolture, Queensland Australia and we love it here. My husband has two other daughters from previous marriages.
My favorite things to cook
I love to play with dough, so bread making is a favorite of mine. I also love trying new recipes and then adding my own style to them. I am adding or subtracting ingrediences from most recipes I get online to suit our taste. We love hot and spicy food, so cooking with chili is something I do frequently.
My favorite family cooking traditions
I watched my grandmother cook and learned that way. We owned several restaurants and I wasn't allowed hands-on learning because of the nature of the business. But I was a good watcher and I learned that way. Over the years I have collected every type of cooking utensil, pot and pan and kitchen machine known to mankind.
My cooking triumphs
My best cooking triumph was when I tried Croatian Chicken for my husband. He loved and asks for it often.
My cooking tragedies
My most recent tragedy was this weekend...lol. I tried a recipe called Beef and Bay Leaf Gravy. The recipe called for 1 cup vinegar and two cups water...yikes was it sour!!!. My husband became a vegetarian for a day...hehehe.

Red Velvet Cake I
I made this cake for my husbands birthday party and it turned out very dry.

Basic Yankee Bread Stuffing
Made this stuffing for Christmas and it was good but I needed to add more salt and spices. Otherwise, it is a very good stuffing.

Beef in Bay Leaf Gravy
This recipe was too sour. The use of white vinegar was over powering. My husband refused to eat it. Now I have a lot of sour meat to eat on my own.
