About this Cook
I am a mother of three beautiful girls. My husband and I love to spend time together as a family. My husband is a writer so we get to take a lot of little trips for him to write about. I work for a travel agent and I am also an independent consultant for Tastefully Simple (products which have greatly improved the flavors of my cooking). We have a large garden in the summer and love eating and sharing our produce. We are busy, but we regularly have meals at home.
My favorite things to cook
My family loves my homemade chicken noodle soup, but I have made it so many times I could make it in my sleep. I love to experiment with new recipes. The slow cooker is my best friend.
My favorite family cooking traditions
I love to cook for people who appreciate a good meal. We like to have camofires in our backyard and always make sure we have homemade caramel corn to pass around the fire.
My cooking triumphs
I have come a long way in my cooking. My hardest things to master were traditional dinners such as pot roast, Turkey and ham. I now have no problem with any of those, they are some of our best meals.
My cooking tragedies
You don't even want to know.

Creamy Potato Casserole
This is a great recipe. I give it four stars because it needs an extra can of soup to be creamy enough. I like to use one can of cream of potato and one can of cream of chicken. I have also used this recipe in the slow cooker on low for eight hours and it turns out great.

Italian Spaghetti Sauce with Meatballs
I give this 4 1/2 stars. It was very tasty. I followed the advice of another reviewer and cooked it in my crockpot all day. I couldn't wait to taste it. I used petite diced tomatoes and they were just the right texture. I think next time I will add finely chopped carrots in with the onion and garlic. I think this would give the sauce a little more sweetness. I will definitely try this again. It would even be a good one for company.

Jo's Rosemary Bread
This bread is great. I love the chewy texture with the crispy edges. It is great for sandwiches. It gives any plain lunchmeat sandwich a gourmet taste.
